Joined ICI Paints : 2006
Currently a Supply Chain Graduate in Paints/Rheinberg/Germany
Where did you first hear about a graduate career with ICI?
ICI isn't that well known in Germany. I read a job advertisement on the internet. It sounded interesting, so I applied.
What have your experiences been to date?
During my first six month with ICI I am a project engineer at Rheinberg site. It has been very interesting and challenging to work on different projects and my colleagues were very nice. My projects were the optimization of the water borne small batch plant, the optimization of the waste water treatment plant and an energy efficiency project. That was a nice way of combining experience in project engineering and management with experience in SHE.
What do you like and dislike about your role/working for ICI?
I like about my role with ICI that I can get experiences in the different areas of supply chain and get the chance to work with different people on different projects regularly.
What are your interests away from work?
During my time away from work I often go horseback riding. I also like reading, listening to music, relaxing, surfing on the internet…
What are the next steps in your career at ICI?
Next placements as a graduate:
04/07 Production Planning in Rheinberg
07/07 Production in Rheinberg
01/08 something in supply chain somewhere outside of Germany
After that: I don't know yet…
Can ICI help you achieve your goals?
Yes, I think so.
