Examples of products in this area include engineering adhesives and sealants for product assembly, structural bonding and repair applications and end uses including auto components, electric motors, fire protection, medical devices, bus and coach maintenance and repair. National Starch also produces high-technology coatings for friction reduction, wear resistance, noise suppression, and lubrication.
ICI's Regional and Industrial businesses, mainly in Argentina, India and Pakistan, are essentially local in their scope. Manufacturing in these businesses includes pure terephthalic acid, polyester, sulphur-related chemicals, wine additives and soda ash.
