Community involvement is an important part of the way we operate at Group and business level, but the heart of our engagement is at local site level.

Most of our sites have been an integral part of their communities for many years, and they manage their own programmes within the principles set out in our Sustainability Policy.

Overall community involvement by ICI sites and employees increased in 2005, driven mainly by the natural disasters in Asia and North America.
