Our People and Health & Safety

Each of our international and regional businesses is responsible for its own employment practices. However, they all must fulfil a common set of Group Employment Principles that summarise the way we expect our businesses to manage their employee relations, from recruitment through development and training.

Over the course of 2006, we achieved further reductions in work-related injury and illness rates and made significant progress in a project to transform our HR processes and delivery. We regret, however, that there were two contractor fatalities and contractor injury performance was below expectations.
