In developing our approach to sustainability, including our policies, standards and specific performance targets, ICI has taken into account the views and needs of our main stakeholder groups.
Our Sustainability Policy, published in 2002, goes beyond the impact of our manufacturing operations to encompass product stewardship across the supply chain, and our relationships with employees, suppliers, customers and the communities where we operate.
Sustainability Challenge 2010 is our latest set of five-year objectives which encompass the interests of these stakeholder groups. The objectives were developed using a process which involved each of our businesses and functions and was facilitated by Forum for the Future, a UK-based charitable development organisation.
We have tested these objectives with a group of external stakeholders, including customers, investors and NGOs, and will continue to check with them on our progress as the Challenge period progresses. See Stakeholder Review Group
